I am also fascinated with internal Rolex Dealer Point Guides, which served to educate salespeople at authorized Rolex dealers by giving them "talking points." Since in the Northern Hemisphere, we are in Autumn heading into winter, I thought it would be on-point to share this with you.

The Rolex Chronograph Reference 6234 was made from 1955 to 1961, and during those 6 years Rolex averaged approximately 500 per year. The Reference 6234 is the great grandfather of the modern stainless steel Rolex Daytona.

The Funniest Comedian In History

More than 25 years wearing a Rolex Day-Date

Eddie Murphy is probably the funniest comedian that every lived and he has worn a yellow gold Rolex Day-Date with a diamond bezel for more than a quarter century. Eddie first became a comedy superstar on Saturday Night Live and we see him pictured below on the set of SNL in 1983 sporting his trademark yellow gold Rolex President with a diamond bezel and matching bracelet.

This next photo was taken in 1987 when Eddie Murphy was putting his footprint in the sidewalk during the ceremony at Gramens Chinese Theater in 1987.

Eddie is pictured below with his mother and father.

On the cover of People magazine (pictured below) we see Eddie with his wife who is wearing a female version of his yellow gold Rolex.

The first photo below is from a video interview of Eddie Murphy in 2009 on the Tonight Show with Conan O'brien, and we see Eddie sporting his trademark yellow gold Rolex Day-Date. The second image of Eddie also recent, shows Eddie wearing his Rolex Day-Date.

Well it's been an interesting week to say the least, and now Muammar Gaddafi belongs to the ages. Muammar Gaddafi certain lived an interesting life. He took over Libya in 1969 in a coup when he was only 27 years old. He ruled Libya for 42 years. We see Muammar Gaddafi in the photo below from 1971 wearing his Rolex Datejust.

Supposedly Libya has an oil reserve today of 440 Billion barrels of oil, which is worth somewhere around $4 Trillion dollars. Just to put things in perspective, the U.S. National debt is currently around $15 Trillion.

Leighton W. Smith, Jr.

Four-Star Admiral Ret.

Leighton W. Smith Jr. is a retired four-star admiral who was in the U.S. Navy. He had a distinguished Naval Aviator career and flew over 280 combat missions during Vietnam and has logged over 4,200 flying hours and accumulated over 1000 carrier arrested landings.

From 1984 to 1985 he as the Commanding Officer on the USS America, and in 1994, he became the Commander in Chief of the U.S. Naval Forces Europe & Allied Forces Southern Europe. Admiral Smith retired from the U.S. Navy in 1996 and today he serves as a Senior Fellow at the Center for Naval Analysis. He is also the Chairman of the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation.

Leighton Smith is pictured below in 1991 and he is either wearing a Rolex Submariner or SEA-DWELLER.
