The History of The Rolex President

Historical Note: Since The Story Of Rolex was written in 1964, it should come as no suprise that explorers and successful record achievers have continued to depend on Rolex watches:

Rolex was worn by U.S. Air Force Major William Knight in 1967 when he set the absolute highest speed record ever attained by a manned aircraft when he flew the Hypersonic NASA X-15 at Mach 6.7 (4,520 Miles Per Hour or 6,437 Kilometers Per Hour).

Rolex has also been the choice of NASA Astronauts to be worn on the Moon, on the Space Shuttle and onboard the International Space Station.

If you wish to read one of the absolute best histories of Rolex, you can do so by reading "The Story of ROLEX" written and published by Rolex in Great Britain in 1964.

I was amazed at two things after I carefully read The Story of ROLEX.

The first was how detailed, accurate, fascinating and deeply insightful the story was.

Secondly, I was amazed at how in 2008, Rolex never wavered from their vision in 1964.

I very, very, very highly recommend you read this story from 1964 and learn about what makes Rolex tick and what makes it the most timeless brand on earth.

If you wish to see every photo of a certain type of Rolex there are two great options:

1. Type what you are looking for in the search box in the upper left hand corner of the browser window, just under the back and forward buttons and you will get a customized version of Jake's Rolex Watch Blog based on your search criteria.

For instance, if you type in Submariner and hit enter, you will get every post with the word Submariner, or if you type in "Moonphase" you will get every post with the word Moonphase.

2. If you notice a tag under any post that is of interest to you, you can click on it and a custom blog will be created for you based on the that tag. Once again, if you click on Submariner, it will isolate all the posts that have been tagged that way.

These methods are very powerful if you are looking to learn more about a particular Rolex model or subject.
