Seth Chandler's Rolex Submariner on a Modified NATO...

Modified NATO

My pal, Seth Chandler (Mr. Mocha GMT) and I were hanging out last weekend and I noticed his Submariner [Reference 14600M] on a NATO strap. I asked if I could try it on and I have not taken it off since (he loaned it to me to check out and take some photos).

I mentioned to Seth that my other pal, James Bond (real name) mentioned how he cuts the extra layer off his NATO straps to turn them into RAF G10 Straps, so I mentioned to Seth that I thought it should look better and he agreed, so we trimmed it off and I was blown away at how much cleaner it looks.

Don't get me wrong, I like NATO straps and think they look cool in a militaristic way. I think the same strap without the steel returns looks sporty and kind of preppy in a cool way. I think it is also a cleaner look.

Been trimming off the NATO loop end on all my straps since I started buying them. Much cleaner look, imo, and makes the watch sit more flush to the wrist. Nice pic!
