The Rolex Crown Logo?

There are many mysteries surrounding the Rolex brand. The mystery I want to explore today revolves around where the Rolex crown came from and what it resembles and perhaps symbolizes?

My answer is simple. I don't know. I have always really liked the Rolex crown which looks regal, timeless and elegant to me.

I was not alive when Rolex developed their crown logo, but I could not help notice the logo looks extremely similar to a hand with a watch on the wrist.

Last week when Seth and I were doing a photo shoot with his stunningly cool "Mocha GMT" and I pointed out to Seth that I thought the Rolex crown logo looks like a hand with a wrist watch so we took this first photo of Seth wearing his GMT and in the last photo of me wearing his GMT with my hand on the guitar.

As Mr. Spock would say on Star Trek, "Fascinating Captain!?!"
